Summary of Humanlike robots as employees in the hotel industry Thematic content analysis of online reviews

This research was conducted based on comments from users after watching videos of robots. Researchers used clustering to find which categories are more correlated to one another. They called these categories the “Godspeed dimensions”. The data was coded under 11 sub-themes, which make up the Godspeed dimensions.

“The diagram shows that likeability, perceived intelligence, and perceived safety (anxious) clusters are tied together in the first branch. On the other hand, perceived safety (surprised), animacy, and anthropomorphism clusters belong to the second branch.”

One of the discussed findings is the following:

“the more animated the appearance of the robots, the more likely that users are attracted, which results in positive perceptions.”
