This article describes a HRI study with a remote controlled(by the researchers) robot transporting water. The most relevant results are that such a robot is positively received by the rural populace. This was in a case where the water source was less than 1 kilometer away. Some limitations to these conclusions are also discussed in the paper, mostly the small sample size and effect of the novelty, which would not be present if such a robot would be deployed for longer periods of time.
