  2. Use a system to organize your pdf's, for example Mendeley or Jabref
    Note that Mendeley has a very nice web import tool
  3. If your article does not fit in the required number of pages, use these tricks
  4. Use the Matlab tools provided on this wiki and share your own generic Matlab functions here
  5. Participate in one of the projects such as Robocup or ATeam to broaden your scope and improve practical skills
